Up for sale is a coffee table designed from an old trunk. This beautiful antique chest was once used as a travel trunk. We restored it carefully, removed the original paint and brought out the wood surface. It has now been turned into an attractive peace of furniture that also serves as storage space. Great for bedrooms, living rooms, restaurants, photo/film studios where props are used. There is plenty of space inside for anything from blankets to wine bottles and books/magazines. Great for using as a coffee table or serving drinks.

Fits great in cottage/country style homes where lots of stone, wood and other natural materials are used. The chest has been completely stripped of the original paint and the surface has been treated to bring out the beautiful wood surface.

We carefully inspected it and made sure the surface has been smoothed out while keeping the natural feel and surface bumps of the wood structure without splinters. The white color is applied so that the wood structure and patterns are clearly visible. There may be differences in the colour from the images shown here as tables are handmade and each one is unique. You can feel the warmth of the wood's surface and its texture. The hinges work and the chest opens and closes with no trouble at all. Great for storing anything from wine bottles to books and magazines. Comfortable handles on both sides allow for trouble-free moving anywhere in your home. All the metal framing has been painted black, they are not rusty and the paint used protects against rust. Condition - The trunk is in overall great condition. However, since this is a vintage/old item that has been redesigned, it can have small imperfections in the wood surface, nicks and tiny cracks.

All signs of the years of usage it has gone through. They contribute to the overall character of this beautiful vintage piece of furniture. Unique coffee table for your home or prop for store displays, restaurants, shops.
